The rule from our field manual is one headlamp per person, and there is a reason it is not one flashlight per person. In an outage the work is done with both hands: carrying a pot, holding a kid, resetting a breaker, walking the dog before bed. A flashlight occupies a hand all night. The Longwatch Headlamp points where you look and leaves both hands for the actual job.
